Dr. Kamaria Catalan

Dr. Catalan is our senior veterinarian and CEO of House Vets for House Pets. Dr. Catalan has been practicing veterinary medicine since 1996. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Howard University, majoring in Zoology and minoring in Chemistry. After undergraduate school, she obtained a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Michigan State University.

Dr. Catalan is a native Michigander, but has lived in Cincinnati now for 17 years with her husband and two teenage sons.

Dr. Catalan has never wanted to pursue any career other than veterinary medicine. It has been her dream since childhood. The first job that she ever held in a veterinary clinic was at the age of 14, and she has worked in multiple aspects of pet care ever since. She has always been fascinated with medicine and, of course, loved all kinds of animals. Oddly enough, the most rewarding aspect of her job is helping people. Dr. Catalan enjoys empowering the owner to make the proper health decisions for their pets and helping to provide a clear understanding of their pet's illness or health care needs.

Dr. Catalan is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc, a public service organization, a current trustee on the board of the Cincinnati Veterinary Medical Association, a member of the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Animal Hospital Association.

Our veterinarian likes to spend her free time enjoying the company of her family and friends. She is fond of gardening, art exhibits, local travel, and has recently explored the world of salsa dancing.

Like many of our team members, she also enjoys the relationships that she has developed with clients and pets that she has helped. Feel free to call with any questions, concerns, or compliments. She is very proud of her practice and the dedicated team she employs.
